Temporary relocation of Navan A&E

The Emergency Department (ED) at Navan’s Our Lady’s Hospital will be temporarily relocated to the hospital’s Endoscopy Department from tomorrow, in order to facilitate building of the new ED facility.
Access to the temporary Emergency Department is through double doors located to the right hand side of the main entrance of the hospital and will be signed Emergency Department.
There will be traffic restrictions in relation to the set-down area at the main entrance to the hospital. This will be used for ambulance drop offs only and will be signed appropriately.
The duration of this temporary measure will be approximately six months and hospital management would like to thank the staff and the public for their co-operation during this period.
Work on the new ED at Our Lady’s Hospital started last month and is expected to be completed next summer.
The new ED is being developed on the site of the existing department.
The new unit will have nine treatment bays, including an isolation room and psychiatric treatment space, along with triage room, relatives’ room, nurses’ station, reception, waiting area and other support accommodation.
