Ashbourne Utd girls on the double

Ashbourne Utd enjoyed a magnificent start to the Metropolitan Girls League  with wins at the weekend for the u-17 and u-11 teams.

It was a fine start for the u-11 girls when they played their first game against Marino last Sunday. 

Manager Kate Joyce was delighted with how the girls played and the game was very evenly matched with the tie finishing level, 1-1. 

Later that morning the u-17s put on a masterclass of passing football with a fantastic win over local rivals Ratoath Harps. 

The myth that local clubs can't provide the highest standard or ensure enough good coaching was totally smashed by Paul Graves' girls yet again as they showed that a passing game is the only way forward.
