Dundalk win and Finnerty equalises for Bohs

The Premier Division of the League of Ireland is starting to take on a more familiar look after Dundalk's 4-0 win against Waterford tonight at Oriel Park.

Gary Rogers kept another cleansheet as the Louth side got their second home win of the season in a game which also featured Jamie McGrath who made the opening for the third goal.

Dylan Hand was on the bench again.

James Finnerty scored a 78th minute equaliser for Bohemians against Derry City, his first goal in the League of Ireland. 

St Pat's lost at home to Shamrock Rovers with Kevin Toner's first-half tackle gifting the Tallaght team a penalty lead goal and a yellow card for the Ashbourne man.

There was a second successive defeat for Athlone after losing in the League Cup on Monday night in extra-time, tonight they lost to Shelbourne and finished with 10 men after Ciaran Grogan was red-carded.

Both Shane Dunne and Kealan Dillon returned to the starting 11 after missing MOnday night's game.

Tim Clancy's Drogheda Utd eanred a point against hosts Limerick in a scoreless draw with Meath duo Luke Heeney and Luke McNally both featured. Drogheda had a good chance in each, but escaped a late scare when LImerick went close in the final minute.
