Point for Parkvilla could be priceless

Parkvilla manager Derek Coogan saw his team held to a scoreless draw at wind and rain-lashed Claremont Stadium this evening in the top of the table game against Square Utd.

Two miles out the road OMP Utd recovered from a one-goal deficit to win 2-1 against Torro Utd but both
Square and OMP have only one game apiece remaining and both need Parkvilla to lose their two remaining games to stay in title contention.

And OMP's last game is against Parkvilla - one not to be missed.

Tonight the weather spoiled the game as both teams gave the 100 per cent required in the circumstances but failed to score despite tremendous effot from all the players.

Ciaran Rogers and Jamie Blake went closest for Parkvilla in the second-half while the Ardee men didn't really create any clearcut chances.

The point gained by Square could yet be crucial as if they win their last game they are guaranteed promotion at the very least.
