Nolan selected for World Championships

Sean Nolan from Navan is set to be the first cyclist from Meath to ride in the World Cyclocross Championships in Bogense Denmark on Saturday 2nd February having been selected to compete in the junior u18  race.

His campaign to gain selection took him to Switzerland, Belgium and Britain culminating in a silver medal in the recent All-Ireland  Championships in Fota Cork. 

The 5th year student in St Patrick's Classical School, Navan comes from a family with a strong cycling history.  His father John is chairman of Navan RC  while his uncle PJ is a former president of CYCLING IRELAND and manager of the newly formed Evo PRO  professional cycling team. 

Sean started racing when he was 10 years old  having also won All-Ireland medals  in the road and track but this will be his biggest challenge to date.
