Navan RFC games off this weekend following HSE advice

Navan RFC men's games scheduled for this weekend have been postponed following HSE advice.

THis has arisen following a mumps outbreak in Navan RFC within senior men's squad

On Medical advice the club has decided to cancel all men's senior team matches -  first Team, J1's, 3rds and Under - 20's until the outbreak has run its course.

"Any player who feels at risk of catching mumps should go to their GP and get vaccinated, free of charge, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated before or not," stated a club official.

"Any player who has not been vaccinated would be strongly encouraged to get vaccinated. 

"The vaccination takes two weeks to work, approximately. 

"The club will resume playing when it receives medical advice to do so," added the club official.

The Ladies game Navan v Gorey on goes ahead.
