The future of golf looks bright at Headfort junior academy based on the response to last Saturday's open event that launched the club’s 2019 Junior Golf Programme 

There was great interest amongst young enthusiats and more than 70 children registered on the day.

The ages ranged from six years old to 12 but it is also intended to cater for teenagers up to the age of 17 who may be interested in trying the game initially to see if the like it.
 
Club officials will run the development phases at Easter and Summer camps throughout the year.

Darren Moore told the Meath Chronicle.   

"The club’s PGA coaching team has devised a phased coaching programme and it is not necessary to be a club member to enrol in the Junior Academy," he added.
