Sara Treacy was the big name at the Rita and Robbie 5k road race at Claremont Stadium today storming to victory to win the Rita Brady Cup

The Olympian told the Meath Chronicle that she "was delighted to support the event as she did a lot of underage training at the track" and she won impressively in a time of 18:14.

Bohermeen's Darragh Rennicks won the men's race in 15:28 to take the Robbie Byrne Cup.

The Rita & Robbie 5k attracted over 400 adults while the under-age races got the action going with one and two-lap events on the track for u-8, u-11 and u-14 boys and girls.
