Famous trophies on display at Balreask Old

The European Champions Cup and the Guinness Pro 14 Cup will be on display at Navan RFC from 10am until lunchtime on Saturday 15th September. Both trophies were won by Leinster at the end of last season. They defeated French side Racing 15-12 in the Champions Cup final before defeating Scarlets 40-32 in the PRO 14 showdown.

"This is a great chance for rugby fans to see these two famous trophies and it should draw in big numbers to the club," added Navan RFC club stalwart Gerry Williamson.

In the afternoon the Navan first team take on MU Barnhall at the same venue in the Leinster Senior League with a 2pm kick off and the contest will give new Navan head coach Ray Moloney and his players a chance to hone their skills ahead of the AIL campaign.

On Sunday the 16th September the Navan RFC inclusive rugby tag team - the 'Blue Dragons' - are back in training from 10am to 11am. New players are welcomed, both boys and girls.
