Under-age Meath Cycling Championships focus

The Meath Road Race Cycling Championships took place on Thursday evening at the under-age grades around Beauparc with the
start and finish line outside Yellow Furze NS.

Josh Callally took the honours in the u-12 category while Adam Gilsenan qwas the first home in u-14 and at u-16 grade there was
a great finish (see video clip) to the u-16 race that completed three laps of the 8.7km circuit.

Ryan Geraghty was firsta cross the line with Oisin McGee in second and Callum Owens in third place.

The adult races take place tonight (five laps) from Yellow Furze NS starting at 7pm - parking beside Beauparc Chrurch.

The route takes the competitors around Dean Hill area turning laft at the T junction after the start, left at the Post Office (yes
the Post Office is still there) and left again at the next junction with the final laft taking them back to the start to complete a lap.

TIGHT FINISH FOR U-16 RACE
