Paul Leddy presented the Mary Leddy Cup at Navan Pitch & Putt Club

O'Brien wins Navan P&P Juvenile title

Jack O'Brien made the most of his last year at his age grade as he claimed the Navan Pitch & Putt Club Juvenile Captain's Prize and took home the Mary Leddy Cup.

O'Brien started well and raced into an early lead posting a one under-par score for the first five holes.

He produced an amazing array of shots throughout the round which included going agonisingly close to a hole-in-one on the 11th.

Despite bogeying four holes in succession O'Brien maintained his lead with a stunning shot from behind the pond on the 15th to save par and he went on to claim his first major piece of silverware - the first of many.

The competition was a well contested affair with Jack O'Connell returning from a wrist injury to take second place ahead of the fast-improving Tadhg Flanagan in third.
