Trainer Gordon Elliott added another Galway Plate to his tally when he landed the day three feature at Ballybrity this evening with 33/1 Gigginstown outsider Clarcam.
Elliott last won the big race in 2016 with Lord Scoundrel. Today Elliott had four runners in the race and Jury Duty finished third while Lord Scoundrel and De Plotting Shed also ran.
Mark Enright partnered Clarcam and surged clear from the third last fence.
“Mark gave him a great ride, I thought he was going to get swallowed up coming up the hill but it was brilliant," commented Elliott.
The Noel Meade-trained Snow Falcon finished fourth.
Despite the rainy conditions 16,925 patrons made it through the turnstiles.
