Colin Keane winner number two for the Galway Festival tonight

Another Galway winner for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane

The Ger Lyons and Colin Keane combination were back in the winners' enclosure at Ballybrit tonight but had to survive a visit to the Stewards' room after Espere was deemed to have wandered a bit inside the final furlong.

Champion jockey Keane challenged inside the final furlong but his mount drifted over towards the far rail when bidding to overhaul the Michael Mulvany-trained My Silver Nails which had Gary Carroll on board

However, Espere had over two lengths to spare at the line from English challenger Mr Top Hat (Declan McDonogh) with Carroll and My Silver Nails in third.

Lyons and Keane won on the opening night with Zander.
