Sheila Lavery had plenty to smile about at Galway races this evening

Sheila on the double at Ballybrit

Agher trainer Sheila Lavery was the woman in form from a Meath perspective at the second part of the Galway Festival at Ballbrit this evening.

Last night saw a first Galway Festival winner for Michael Mulvany and tonight it was a first double for Sheila Lavery.

In what turned out to be a terrific Tuesday, Lavery's brace produced a 114/1 double and also enhanced Robbie Colgan's ability as a flat jockey when he partnered 20/1 bottom weight outsider Truffles to victory in a the concluding handicap.

Earlier on the card Lavery's Burning Question duly obliged for jockey Gary Carroll) in a seven-furlong maiden after losing out by a head at Ballinrobe last week.

Lavery will return to Galway on THursday with Secret Wizard in a flat handicap.
