Pairc Tailteann

Pairc update planned for Monday at Dunganny

Plans to advance the proposed redevelopment of Pairc Tailteann will be discussed at a specially convened meeting of Meath Co Board on Monday next 15th April, 7.30pm at Dunganny.

The meeting will be open to club officials only, chairperson, secretary and treasurer and the current position regarding the project will be updated.

"Following on from next week's meeting we should have more detailed information about the project at the next Co Board meeting in May," stated chairman Peter O'Halloran.

The target for the project start is October 2019, but that is subject to a number of matters that need to be finalised before that date.

Last November a meeting of Navan Municipal District was told by Co Board officials that construction work on the €45 million redevelopment of Pairc Tailteann in Navan would create the equivalent of 244 full time jobs between 2019 and 2025,

Councillors were also told that the economic impact of the project on the town would be significant and would lead to up to four additional inter county matches a year being played in Navan.
