Michael Dunne finds the net for Dunboyne.

Hungry Dunboyne put Skyrne to the sword

Keegan Cup holders Dunboyne showed they are hungry for more success when they inflicted a heavy 2-14 to 0-7 defeat on Skryne in the A FL Div 1 at Dunboyne today.

In a bitterly cold wind Dunboyne showed a hot pace throughout this one-sided encounter with Michael Dunne finding the net for the home side early on. At the break Dunboyne led 1-9 to 0-2 and Skryne gave little indication in the second-half they were capable of making a significant inroad into that advantage.

Instead Dunboyne engineered a second goal this time scored by Darragh Nolan to help ensure the home side bagged the points.

Rob McCarthy topscored for Dunboyne with six while Michael Dunne finished with 1-2.  Mark Battersby and Paddy Fox each scored two points for a lacklustre Skryne who had Robbie Clarke sent off near the end.
