Boys Div 1 Shield

Four-goal Sean inspires St Paul's to victory

Captain Sean Twyford was in inspired form as he led St Paul's to the Meath Primary Schools Boys Div 1 Shield title with a mesmerising 7-6 to 5-11 victory over Duleek BNS at Pairc Tailteann this afternoon.
Twyford finished with 4-4 to his credit in a taltilising game that ebbed one way and then the other.
St Paul's led by 4-3 to 4-2 at the break with Cian O'Halloran and Eamon Armstrong leading the resistence for Duleek.
The goal rush continued after the break with St Paul's opening up a considerable lead, but they had to hold on in the finish as Duleek finished strong before falling just short.
