Navan mourns Tony Walsh

A popular figure has been lost to Navan with the passing of  Tony (Weeshie) Walsh, St Mary's Park, a former member of the Meath Chronicle production staff.

Tony was a newsjet operator at the Market Square printworks, retiring 20 years ago. He died this morning at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, having been resident at Beaufort House Nursing Home, Navan.

Predeceased by his wife Marie, he will be sadly missed by his son, Gary, and daughter, Michelle, granddaughter, Shauna and great-grandson Keegan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

His remains are reposing at James Fox Funeral Home, Abbeylands, Navan on Friday from 2pm until 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning to St Mary's Church, Navan arriving for 10am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Navan.
