Rock on to Gran Canaria! Guess the weight of a rock mined in Navan and win a holiday

Guess the weight of the rock and enter the draw for a fabulous holiday for two in Gran Canaria.Tabor House is hosting this novel fundraising idea.
Tara Mines have provided a rock, excavated from 800 metres below surface and the rock has been placed in Navan Town Centre. Members of public are invited to guess the weight and correct entries will be entered into a draw for the holiday in Gran Canaria and a host of other prizes. It’s €2 per guess or three for a €5. No cash on hand, don’t worry, Tabor House has entered the new age so you can TAP the rock with your credit card and guess away.  Associated are the holiday sponsors: Best 4 travel, Navan Town Centre, the traders, management and staff in Navan Town Centre. The event is being conducted by the Tabor House Voluntary Fundraising Committee and a host of volunteers from around the town of Navan.

The fundraising will commence on Friday 20th September in Navan Town Centre and continue until Sunday 28th September. There will be three locations in the centre at which the public can make their guess.  All of the funds raised will go directly to Tabor House, a ten-bed residential secondary addiction treatment centre, located in Navan. It runs a four-month programme emphasising group therapy, one to one counselling, personal responsibility, peer support, retraining and work skills, and participation in a 12-step programme.
Tara Mines have generously made a site available to Tabor House and it is intended to extend the service to provide for 10 women in early recovery from addiction.
