Three arrested over ongoing Drogheda feud

Gardaí investigating ongoing criminality in the Drogheda area under Operation Stratus attended the scene of a stolen burnt out car today. Follow up investigations lead to 3 males being arrested for criminal damage, one detained in Drogheda Garda Station and two in Dundalk Garda Station.

Meanwhile, one man is expected to appear before the Criminal Courts Of Justice, Parkgate St, Dublin 8  this afternoon charged in connection with a drugs seizure in Gormanston, Co Meath on Wednesday 8th May. 

As part of an intelligence-led operation by the Gardaí from Ashbourne Co Meath and the Ballymun Garda Drugs Unit, a property in Gormanston Co Meath was searched. During the course of the search, Cannabis Herb with an estimated street value of €2.5million was seized together with two (2) hand grenades.

The Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal team (EOD) were called to the scene and made the devices safe.
