Facebook, Clonee expansion

Social media giant Facebook has announced an expansion of its Clonee Data Centre. 
The company has confirmed it will be adding two new buildings which will bring the total facility to nearly 150,000 square meters. 
The expansion will result in hundreds of millions of euros in incremental investment in Clonee as well additional jobs during construction and operations.
Construction is expected begin later this month.
Cllr Damien O’Reilly and Cllr Brian Fitzgerald have welcomed Facebooks renewed commitment to South East Meath. 

"The Clonee Data Centre will continue to be one of the most advanced, energy efficient data centers in the world and will be supported by 100per cent renewable energy," said Cllr O'Reilly. 

Cllr Brian Fitzgerald said "It is great news for south east Meath and the Irish economy."
