Gardaí seize jeep suspected of being involved in theft in Slane area

Gardaí from Meath have seized a black Toyota Hilux jeep that is suspected to have been involved in the theft of diesel from a farmyard.
On Monday Gardai asked  members of the public to keep a look out for the vehicle after it was involved in a theft in the Grangegeeth area of Slane. Two or three men were believed to be in the vehicle at the time.
According to the Farmers Journal, Gardaí subsequently entered a property in south Meath on Tuesday with a search warrant and seized the jeep. No persons were present on the property at the time.
Gardaí from Navan and Ashbourne garda stations, the traffic and drug units, and the armed Regional Support Unit (RSU) were involved in the search.Gardaí said follow-up enquiries were being conducted and they hoped to make an arrest in coming days.
