Christmas charcuterie at Dublin Flea Market with Wooded Pig

Rathfeigh-based food producers The Wooded Pig are among the participants in the Dublin Flea Christmas Market currently taking place at The Point Village in Dublin. The Wooded Pig is a range of charcuterie made from free range pigs raised on a farm in Tara, using traditional continental curing methods to develop a range of charcuterie products with an Irish twist.
At the Dublin Flea Christmas Market The Wooded Pig will sell a large selection of salamis and whole muscle cures both sliced and whole. The charcuterie will be sold as single items (from €5) or gift hampers €20.

The annual Dublin Flea Christmas Market will be bigger and better than ever this year and will now take place over two weekends in December - 6th to 9th and 13th to 16th December. Unprecedented demand for stalls has prompted Dublin Flea organisers to extend the Christmas Market over two weekends. Each weekend will feature 140 entirely different stalls, all under one roof at The Point Village, Dublin 1.
The free-to-enter family event specialises in providing a platform for Ireland’s best up and coming designers, craftspeople, artists, collectors and creative start-ups. Highly curated, with no two stalls the same, the market has an incredible variety of quality contemporary and vintage items including craft, art, design, jewellery, fashion, furniture, skincare, homeware, antiques and collectables.
These sit alongside Irish artisan food producers selling locally produced edible gifts and a café as well as entertainment such as musical performances and a Kiddies Art Corner.
Organiser Sharon Green says the Dublin Flea Christmas Market has garnered quite a following with 35,000 people through the doors last year and she is advising people to come early on Thursday or Friday to get their pick of the pile.

“The market is an exciting platform supporting creative Irish start-ups and small enterprise traders who are not always found on the high street. The Dublin Flea Christmas Market is huge this year with 270 stalls in total which means 135 totally different stalls on each of the two weekends. We are providing a vibrant and alternative Christmas shopping experience with a festival feel, attracting thousands of people into the city centre.
Our visitors get to browse a vast variety of stalls and purchase unique and personalised gifts from some of the best creative talent in the country.
The incredible vast indoor venue has plenty of space so people tend to spend longer browsing the stalls, meeting the makers and enjoying the atmosphere, music, mulled wine and excellent food on offer in the café.
By doing your Christmas shopping here, people do not only get the chance to buy unique quality gifts in a relaxed fun atmosphere they are also directly supporting up and coming Irish enterprise.
