Stamullen affected by burst water main; flushing of mains in Ashbourne

Irish Water and Meath County Council have advised customers in Stamullen and surrounding areas, including Glasheen, Kilbrick and Silverstream, that due to repairs on a burst water main, water restrictions will be in place until approximately 10pm tonight, Wednesday, October 10th.

Irish Water and Meath County Council  also advise customers that water mains flushing will be carried out in Ashbourne and surrounding areas from Thursday 11th October to Friday 30th November  from 10am to 3pm on weekdays only.

Water Mains are flushed in order to prevent sediment build-up and improve the quality of the water supply. While the water mains are being flushed customers may experience intermittent water supply, low pressure and/or temporary discolouration.  The areas affected by this essential maintenance are:
•    Slane Road,  Ashbourne
•    Tudor Grove
•    Milltown Road
•    Garden City
•    Ashbourne Centre
