Batten down the hatches, secure your trampolines and  take care ont he roads- Meath is about to be hit by Storm Callum.
Despite basking in glorious sunshine today, Met Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange wind warning for Meath tomorrow.
The orange warning is in palce for 13 counties Meath, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Kerry, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, and Waterford and will stay in place from 10 pm tomorrow (Thursday)until 12pm on Friday.
 Met Eireann said : “Strong winds associated with Storm Callum, coinciding with high spring tides will affect Ireland on Thursday night and Friday morning.
“Winds will be strongest overnight and early on Friday, gusting between 110 and 130 km/h at coasts.”
Storm Callum is expected to bring gale force winds of up to 150 kmph with torrential rain.
The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has issued a statement asking drivers and other road users to exercise caution as Storm Callum approaches Ireland.
The Road Safety watchdog advises road users to check local weather and traffic conditions and be aware of the conditions before setting out on a trip.
"Beware of objects being blown out onto the road. Expect the unexpected. Watch out for falling/fallen debris on the road and vehicles veering across the road.
"Control of a vehicle may be affected by strong cross winds. High sided vehicles and motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable to strong winds
"Allow extra space between you and vulnerable road users such as cyclists and motorcyclists. Drive with dipped headlights at all times"
Despite the approaching storm the weather will remain dry for the rest of today with some pleasant evening sunshine.
