Henry Mountcharles with Noel Gallagher

Anyone for Oasis?

What's all this then? Could we have a second gig at Slane Castle in 2019? Well Liam Gallagher certainly seems open to an Oasis reunion at Henry Mountcharles' back garden if his latest tweet is anything to go by.
With Metallica set to rock the castle grounds on 8th June next year, Gallagher junior was asked via social media if there was any truth to the rumours that Oasis had a deal on the table to headline a concert at Slane Castle.

Liam's response was as vague as ever, but he did suggest he was ready to bury the hatchet with his brother Noel, rather than in his brother Noel for a change and Liam admitted he is "ready to go".
Liam has been enjoying success as a solo artist, while Noel has been soaring with his High Flying Birds, but the lure of an Oasis reunion has the music world buzzing and  in the 'Supersonic' documentary Liam also revealed he is "ready, my bags are packed".
Noel hasn't been as open to reuniting with his brother, calling him "the angriest man you'll ever meet", but if Oasis were to put their differences aside it would be the greatest comeback in rock 'n roll and would instantly sell out the most iconic rock arena in the world.
Oasis are no stranger to Slane having played a memorable set there in 1995 when they supported REM and they returned to headline the Castle concert in 2009 where they had The Prodigy, Kasabian, Glasvegas and The Blizzards as support.
If the Gallagher boys could reconcile and Henry and his family were open to a second concert in 2019 there is certainly plenty of precedent for two concerts in the same year at Slane Castle.
In 2001 U2 played two shows of their Evolution tour, while in 2013 Bon Jovi played on 15th June before Eminem finally fulfilled his spot at Slane on 17th August.
So if everyone is willing, then the Oasis fans are certainly able, let's get it on.
