Pathfinders exhibition marks 50 years since Stonewall riots

The OPW is to host a new exhibition showcasing the photographic portraits of pioneering activists within the LGBTQI movement in Ireland.  The exhibition will be launched on 23rd of August in the Dublin Castle’s Coach House Gallery and will run until  29th September.
This year is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, which in 1969 launched the second wave of the Gay Rights movement.  Pathfinders is an on-going national and cross-border project to create an archive of photographic portraits of the pioneer activists within the LGBTQI movement in Ireland.  These portraits showcase those men and women whose involvement helped paved the way for many social changes which Ireland has witnessed over the recent years.
