Blooming great conversations in the Park

Janssen, in collaboration with charity partners Aware and See Change, have launched a national campaign that aims to increase public awareness around mental illness. Ahead of their participation at Bloom in the Park 2019, the #GrowingConversations campaign will help promote open discussion to reduce stigma, increase the understanding around mental illness and the supports that are available.
Newstalk’s Henry McKean, alongside Laurent de Saint Sernin, General Manager Commercial Operations, Janssen Sciences Ireland UC, Lisa Wallace, Business Unit Manager, Janssen Sciences Ireland UC, Dominic Layden, CEO of Aware, and Shauna O’Connor, Partner and Volunteer Support Officer, See Change took part in a photocall at Dublin’s Heuston Station where a large floral installation called on the public to engage and contribute a flower to the installation in a colour that best represented their current mood. Live music performances took place throughout the day by Irish vocal duo and viral stars Glenn Murphy and Ronan Scolard.
Over the June Bank holiday weekend 2019, Janssen, Aware and See Change will present a garden at Bloom in the Park that has been created in collaboration with people living with or affected by mental illness called, ‘Grounded’ – Growing conversations around mental illness.
