Smith to sing the blues at the Central

Navan bluesman Paddy Smith will launch his new album at the Central Bar, Navan this Saturday 12th January.

The album is called 'A Tribute to the Chicago Blues Greats' and features numbers from many maestros of the genre such as Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, BB King with two original songs also added into the mix  - 'Let Those Blues In' and 'Ran out of Road.'

The album was recorded live during his 'Tribute to the Blues Greats Show' at the Theatre Royal, Waterford recently.

The Paddy Smith Band for the show featured Anton Morrelli (Rob Strong's long-time guitarist), Myles Hyland on bass and vocals and renowned blues drummer Phil Gaynor.

The Paddy Smith Band will also stage gigs in the Kells Theatre, the St Vincent de Paul Hall on Saturday, 15th March and the Solstice Arts Centre, Navan on Saturday, 11th May.

Smith is widely recognised as one of the top harmonica players in the country and along with his band he produces a top class show that not only the blues fans will enjoy.
