New RTE youth choir to debut at Culture Night

RTE Cór Linn is a new, auditioned mixed-voice choir for young singers aged 15 to 20 years. The 31-member choir will learn and perform a wide repertoire, from classical to pop.

The choir will perform for the first time as part of Culture Night with RTÉ on Friday 21st September, first of all with RTÉ Cór na nÓg, on the steps of the John Field Room at the National Concert Hall from 6pm - 6.20pm on Friday 21st September, before heading to the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks for RTÉ’s free two-hour open air concert from 8pm – 10pm, in the company of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.

RTÉ’s free open-air concert at the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks for Culture Night will include performances from artists including, Gavin James, Villagers, Stefanie Preissner, Waterford Whispers, Members of Horslips and Paul Muldoon, Mick Flannery and Amanda Coogan, Moxie, Mango X Mathman, Claudia Boyle, Ursula Burns, Sarah Crossan and Nava.
