Two-in-a-row for Robbie Colgan at the Curragh

Meath jockey Robbie Colgan is developing a taste for winners at the Curragh and today recorded his second success at the Kildare track this week when the John Murphy-trained Charterhouse got off the mark at the third attempt.

Colgan won the last race at the KIldare track last Sunday for KIlmessan trainer Matthew Smith and he took the opener today.

On Charterhouse he was beaten a head on the two-year-old's debut at Leopardstown last month after an impressive run.

The £3,000 Tattersalls UK purchase last October was fourth for Colgan at the Foxrock track eight days ago in the Group 3 Tyros Stakes.

Today at the Curragh Colgan got a winning run out of Charterhouse inside the final furlong in the seven-furlong maiden.
