Chalk Talk: Meath’s Young Stars Shine on the Late Late Toy Show
Meath was brilliantly represented on this year’s Late Late Toy Show, with a strong contingent of local schoolchildren taking to the nation’s biggest stage and bringing no shortage of talent, excitement and heart.
Cormac from Killyon NS did his school and community proud with his Toy Show appearance that will no doubt earn him a whole new fan club in school.
Also flying the flag for Navan was 12-year-old Katelyn Campbell of St Paul’s Primary School, who performed beautifully as part of the Golden – K-Pop Demon Hunters feature. Her confidence and sparkle lit up the studio, and judging by the messages pouring in, wishing her well, she had half of Navan singing along with her.
Adding even more local flavour to the line-up, Spotlight Stage School Navan took centre stage with host Patrick Kielty, delivering one of those feel-good Toy Show moments that remind us why the tradition is so treasured.
And while not on stage, one Meath student had a Toy Show moment he’ll never forget.
St Ciaran’s CS second-year student Stevie McElherron was over the moon to receive a personal note from Toy Show producer, and Kells native, Kate Olohan just before the show aired. The surprise made his night and added an extra touch of magic to the excitement building around this year’s broadcast.
Once again, the Toy Show proved that Meath’s young people are true stars in the making — talented, fearless, and ready to shine.
