Caulfield named Player of the Year

Trim's Ciaran Caulfield was named the Higher Education GAA Footballer of the Year after guiding DCU To Sigerson Cup success in February.

Caulfield became the first Meath player since Gerry McEntee in 1978 to captain a Sigerson Cup winning side when he inspired the Dublin college to final over UCD in Bekan.

Caulfield and Jordan Morris were selected on the GAA Higher Education Rising Stars Football Team of the Year following successful years with DCU and TUD respectively.

Meath goalkeepers, O'Mahonys' Robyn Murray and Clonard's Emily Hevey and St Peter's Emma Duggan were named on the 2025 Ladies HEC All-Star and Rising Stars teams following stellar years with DCU.

Murray and Duggan were key to the O'Connor cup success for DCU with Duggan captaining the side to victory over UCC in the final, while Hevey played her part in DCU's Moynihan cup win.
