Jacinda Ardern and Trevor Noah to speak at sustainability conference
Former New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern and comedian Trevor Noah are to speak at AIB's sustainability conference on Monday.
The conference, based on the theme 'It’s Time to Act', will be attended by 500 people in person and more than 6,000 online.
AIB is targeting that 70 per cent of its new lending will be green or transition by 2030, and claims it is on course to become net-zero on its own operations by the end of the decade.
Ms Arden, who stood down as NZ prime minister earlier this year, is now a senior fellow at Harvard University in the US.
Noah, the former host of The Daily Show, will also address the conference, in addition to a number of Irish businesses sharing how they integrated the green agenda into their operations.
