A Facility For The Community

Walterstown GFC wants to continually strive to upgrade our facilities for both members & their community. Step one in this vision is completing full fencing and walkway works around the main pitch, which will commence in late April 2023.

The Mission

In 2023 the club’s mission is to replace the old fencing on the main pitch, install a wheelchair accessible walking path/loop around the main pitch and eventually install lights on the path so it can be used by club members and members of our community. There is currently no accessible walkway in the Parish of Johnstown and Walterstown.

Lets Turn It In To A Reality

To turn the vision in to a reality, the club needs your help. The final cost of the project is €95,500 and Walterstown have secured €41,000 in Sports Capital Funding. In lending a hand, not only will the club have a walkway to be proud of but you, your family, or loved one will forever be preserved in Walterstown GFC history.

Forever on the Fence - The Details

At just €150 each you and your family will be Forever on the Fence at Walterstown GFC; forever embedded in the club’s history. Alternatively, you can remember a loved one that is no longer with us.

Each name plate is 40cm by 10cm and is printed on Dibond, made of a flat, highly rigid aluminium sheet comprising two very thin layers of aluminium on a Polyethylene (PE) plastic core. They are weather resistant and built to last. The wording options are: Family/Individual Names on top with ‘Proud Supporter(s) of Walterstown GFC ’Underneath or ‘In Memory of Insert Name ’on top with ‘Proud Supporter(s) of Walterstown GFC ’underneath.

Numbers are limited to 195, so be sure to get in quick to ensure you will be Forever on the Fence at Walterstown GFC.

How to Buy

Nameplates are available to buy online or from any members of the executive committee for cash or cheque. You can also keep an eye on signage at the club, both outside and indoors, where you can scan the QR Code to buy your nameplate online for just €150.
