Boyne CS show their class

The Boyne Community School players displayed plenty of promise an class when they defeated St Oliver's Community College in the Leinster Colleges SFC recently.

As a way of opening their campaign it was hard to beat.

It was a real winter’s game of football with the cold and wet conditions harming the flow of the game but that didn't stop the hamper the Boyne boys.

A big contingent of players from Dunderry made up the bulk of the scoring. They accounted for 10 points of the team's total with Mark Leavy , Jack Conneely and Rian Fay kicking some super scores.

Mark Brennan, Manuel Magno, Cathal Regan and Luke Boggan were also commended for their defending and tackling throughout the game.

Special mention goes to Padraig Walsh, Kyle Ennis and Aaron O’Rourke who are the younger players on the team but who used this match as a warm up before they went out and won the North Leinster u-16 HC crown THE NEXT DAY with St. Patrick's CS, Navan defeated in the final. What commitment, what energy.

It was an an approach that typified Boyne's victory over St Oliver's.
