Illness of the accused prevents Ratoath murder case from proceeding

The adjourned case of a 33 year old man charged with the murder of a 30 year old Romanian woman last Saturday could not proceed at Trim District Court today because of the stated illness of the accused.

Andrei Marian Dobra with an address at River Walk Court, Fairyhouse Road. Ratoath had appeared at the court on Monday charged with the murder of Ioana Mihaela Pacala of the same address.

He had been remanded in custody to appear by video link at Trim Court. However, his solicitor Maurice Regan informed Judge Cormac Dunne that it had been reported that the accused had Covid and would be unable to appear.

The judge said that the case could not go ahead and put it back to 24th November next.
