Meath GAA club seeks to raise funds the colourful way

A new colour-filled event will take place in Bettystown in early September with Drogheda Credit Union and St Colmcille's GFC joining forces to launch the ‘Drogheda Credit Union Cilles Colour Run’.

Families young and old are urged to step into a world of colour in this 5km fun run.

The Colour Run will take place in St Colmcille's GAA club grounds in Piltown, Bettystown on Saturday 3rd September at 12pm. Participants can run, jog, or walk through the course and at each kilometre get covered head to toe in a different colour of powder paint.

Tickets for the event cost €10 for a single entry or a family ticket for up to 6 people is available for €40. Tickets can be purchased online via the Colmcilles website www.cilles.com. The money raised will go towards the day to day running of the St Colmcille's club.

“We are delighted to be part of The Drogheda Credit Union Cilles Colour Run. It promises to be a fun filled, colourful day that the whole family can enjoy.” Said Patricia While, Drogheda Credit Union.

“We expect to have over 2000 entrants from within the club itself and we hope that the community, even our competitor clubs, will come down to join us for the event.” Said Ciara Lalor, St Colmcilles PRO.

The ‘Drogheda Credit Union Cilles Colour Run’ is open to entrants of all ages, toddlers, teens, and golden oldies. Bring all the family!
