Talented Kingscourt teacher's exhibition opens

Opening on 21st June at the Atrium at Westmeath County Buildings, Mullingar, Co Westmeath, is ‘Gyre’, an exhibition by artist Emma Carter.

This exhibition is in aid of Pediatric Ward, Mullingar Regional Hospital, and will feature 15 previously unseen pieces. The exhibition will be opened by artist Olga Magliocco, chair of Saolta Arts, at 6.30pm on 21st June. It is open to the public from 20th June to 1st July.

Emma Carter’s work involves an expressive nature of using line and colour to create breathing takingly beautiful paintings. She is a fine art graduate from the renowned NCAD. She has also completed her master’s in education. She is an upcoming and talented artist, and this is a unique opportunity to acquire one of her very sought-after pieces as well as supporting a very worthy cause.

Her work has been seen in ‘Fecund’ exhibition which took place in 2019 with artist Teresa Doyle in Castlepollard Library.

From Collinstown, outside Mullingar, she is a secondary school art teacher in Colaiste Dun an Ri, Kingscourt, Co Cavan. This is her second exhibition since graduating from Centre for Creative Arts and Media, Galway. In 2019 Teresa Doyle and I showed work in 'Fecund' in the Castlepollard Library.
