Club delegates to vote on senior manager's future

The fate of Andy McEntee in terms of his position as manager of the Meath senior football team looks set to be decided by club delegates a a crunch Co Board meeting scheduled to take place this Tuesday at the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim, 7.30.

Last Wedneday night Executive Committee of the Co Board surprisingly decided on a seven-eight vote not to recommend the Nobber native for a sixth year in charge.

At the time of writing it wasn't clear if McEntee will allow his name to be put forward for another term as senior team manager.

While it's very possible that he could be voted in by delegates to serve another term it remains to be seen if they will go against the recommendation of the Executive Committee.

"Club have been invited to attend the Co Committee meeting on Tuesday to discuss the position of senior team manager," the PRO Ciaran Flynn said.

The issue of the senior team manager is the only item on the agenda.
