Denise Foster keeps Meath flag flying at Galway

Trainer Denise Foster kept Meath flag flying at Galway today when landing a chase at Ballybrit today with Battleoverdoyen.

The winner took the verdict at the expense of the Dunsany-trained Ben Dundee as the two Meath horses in the five-runner field battled out the finish.

Battleoverdoyen won a Grade 1 at Leopardstwon in December 2019, but only this week had disappointed in Wednesday's Galway Plate.

With Jack Kennedy on board today Battleoverdoyen got away smartly from the last and held off the challenge of the Chris Jones-owned Ben Dundee on the run in.
