Kelly and Callaghan unveil under-20 team to face Dublin tonight

After a turbulent few weeks for the Meath under-20 football panel they finally get their Leinster campaign up and running tonight with a home game against Dublin in Pairc Tailteann, 7.30pm.

Dunderry pair Barry Callaghan and Sean Kelly were appointed to replace Bernard Flynn and his management following their resignation last month and they have named a strong team for tonight's semi-final.

Seven of tonight's starting line-up started the 2018 Leinster MFC final victory over Kildare with Cathal Hickey and Mathew Costello missing out as they are part of the senior panel for Sunday's Leinster SFC semi-final clash with Dublin. Cian McBride is plying his trade Down Under with AFL side Essendon, while Daragh Swaine is injured.

Kelly and Callaghan have drafted in several players from the 2020 Meath minor side that lost out in the All-Ireland MFC semi-final last week onto the panel, including team captain Eoghan Frayne, his Summerhill club mate Adam McDonnell and Trim's Ciaran Caulfield.

Drumbaragh man and Wexford FC goalkeeper Jimmy Corcoran is also included on the panel.
