Quickfire goals boost Moynalvey to victory

Two goals in three minutes just after the first water break put Moynalvey in firm control as they claim the Feis Cup spoils with an impressive 2-11 to 0-13 win over Dunshaughlin.

Dunshaughlin opened the scoring in the opening minute, but David McLoughlin replied for Moynalvey and that exchange of scores continued until the 20th minute when, with Moynalvey leading 0-5 to 0-4, the visitors struck for their two goals.

Both goals were close range finishes from Brian O'Reilly and Adam Murphy, but Dunshaughlin responded well and with Brian Harnan black carded Moynalvey's lead was cut to 2-5 to 0-8 at the break. With Harnan still in the sin-bin Dunshaughlin cut the lead further to the minimum.

The teams were tied, 2-6 to 0-12, 11 minutes into the second-half, but then points from McLoughlin and Murphy settled Moynalvey and with Harnan back on the field and Dunshaughlin down to 14 following a black card it was Sean Duggan and Murphy who saw Moynalvey over the line.
