Delightful Daly goal sets Dunderry on their way

A third quarter surge helped Dunderry overcome home side Kilmainham and begin their Corn na Boinne campaign with a 1-10 to 0-7 win.

Conor Farrell opened the scoring for Dunderry with less than a minute played, Kilmainham were able to respond with interest minutes later when Dylan Morgan pointed twice.

Further points from Dermot Kelly and Pat O'Sullivan left the sides level at the break, 0-3 each.

After the resumption Dunderry took control with four successive points and when Conor Daly bagged the only goal of the game it finally put sufficient daylight between the sides.

Kilmainham did close the gap to four again, but Simon Carty and Luke Martyn closed the scoring to ease Dunderry to victory.
