Caoimhe O’Grady was the youngest nominee for the Young Sportsperson-of-the-Year in the history of the Meath Sports Awards when she was nominated for her golfing performances at the age of 10. The ninth annual Meath Sports Awards featured the top men and women from the Royal County across nine separate sporting disciplines.
The overall award was presented to Bohermeen man Gary Rogers following a memorable first season with Dundalk in the League of Ireland.
There were also category awards for Gordon Elliott, John O'Brien, Michael Cornyn, Mickey Burke, Michelle Delaney and Andy McEntee.
Bohermeen AC teenager Kevin McGrath scooped the young sportsperson award and the late Rita Brady was recognised for her contribution with a Hall of Fame award.
