Weather warning in place from 9pm tonight

A Status Yellow weather warning comes into effect for much of the country tonight, along with a Status Orange warning in parts of Munster.

Met Éireann have forecast for Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Limerick, Connacht and Leinster: "Heavy rain on Monday night and Tuesday will lead to some river flooding and localised surface flooding. Rainfall totals of 30 to 50mm, higher in mountainous regions."
