Rouge all the rage for Gibney

Trainer Tom Gibney was on the mark at Navan today when he landed a maiden hurdle with Alko Rouge which brought some good form into the race and was sent off the 6/4 favourite.

Alko Rouge had finished third in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle in January.

Darragh O'Keeffe was on board that day and again today for his second success in a week for the Meath stable after scoring with Velvet Elvis at Thurles last Monday.

This was Gibney's third winner in the last 21 days and Alko Rouge has options at Cheltenham with entries in the Ballymore and the Supreme.
