Meath man appointed president of Master Builders and Contractors Association

Ashbourne man, Mick Flynn, has been appointed President of the Master Builders and Contractors Association (MBCA).

He is one of the Founding Directors of Flynn, a leading construction and fit-out company based in Dublin and with operations in Ireland, UK and Europe.

The Master Builders’ and Contractors’ Association is the representative Association for firms involved in main and general building contracting. The Association promotes, and represents members’ interests to Government Departments, public and private sector clients and the construction professionals.

“Construction is the heartbeat of the Irish economy and it’s critical we get it reopened as quickly as possible. The previous reopening after lockdown was extremely successful and with our world class Construction Sector C-19 SOP we have shown that the industry can operate safely through this pandemic. Given the ongoing pressures in society for all housing and the importance of supporting multinationals coming here, we need the sector reopened as a priority,” said Mick.

Flynn is a well-known main contractor operating in the construction, fit-out, aviation and data centre sectors. They are currently on site with several hyper scale data centres at locations across Europe.

Flynn’s portfolio of clients includes the DAA, LinkedIn, Hibernia REIT, Accenture and the top multinational tech companies with significant operations in Ireland and overseas.

As one of Flynn’s Founding Directors, Mick Flynn has been the driving force behind much of the company’s progression. With his 25 years’ experience, he has helped build the business into the successful construction management and contracting firm that it is today. He oversees Flynn’s growth and development, and directs advancement into new sectors and markets.
