Eurovision singer Red Hurley is to perform for Men’s Sheds members in the run up to Christmas.

Red Hurley to top Flogas Christmas gig for Men’s Sheds

On Wednesday 2nd December, Irish singing legend Red Hurley will be topping the bill for the Flogas Virtual Christmas Gig to support the Irish Men’s Sheds Association (IMSA). Taking place via Zoom, the free members-only event is set to lift the pre-Christmas spirits of Shedders nationwide with music, chat and spot prizes. There’ll also be news of a major competition, sponsored by Flogas, that will provide a welcome focus of creative energies well into 2021.

Former Eurovision entrant Red Hurley will be entertaining the Shedders with some of his most famous songs while Flogas brand ambassador David Gillick, former Olympic athlete and now author and wellness speaker, will be chatting with Frank Dillon of the IMSA about how to keep well, healthy and smiling all the way through the winter season.

To boost the festive fun, spot prizes up for grabs include signed copies of David Gillick’s bestselling book, ‘Back on Track’ and signed copies of Red Hurley’s ‘Complete Collection’ triple CD set.

John Rooney, managing director, Flogas Ireland will be announcing details of a major competition with a substantial prize, to showcase the creative skills, expertise and energies of Men’s Shed branches across Ireland. John said: “As the energy partner of the Irish Men’s Shed Association, we’re delighted to host the Flogas Christmas Gig, to help support the valuable work they do in keeping the Sheds a warm, safe and hospitable place for all its members. “

Founded in 2011, the Irish Men’s Sheds Association has overseen the rapid growth to over 450 sheds on the island of Ireland. Men’s Sheds are community spaces that allow men to share skills, engage with their communities and improve their wellbeing.

The Flogas Virtual Christmas Gig is free and open to Men’s Shed members and begins at 3 pm on 2nd December. Contact your local Shed volunteer for more info. www.menssheds.ie
