39 new Meath cases of Covid-19 today

Health officials tonight confirmed eleven more people with Covid-19 have died.

There have also been 366 more cases of the coronavirus confirmed, with 39 of those in Meath.

This brings the total number of people who have died to 1,995 and the total number of confirmed cases to 68,686.

As of 8pm last night, there were four people being treated for the virus in Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, while a further 17 were being treated in hospital in Drogheda, with four of those in critical care beds.

In Meath, Ashbourne now has the highest incidence rate in the county. In the 14 days to 9th November, there had been 78 cases and an incidence rate of 268.2 per 100,000 of population. The national incident rate is now at 151.5.

Kells had the second highest rate with 78 cases and an incidence rate of 240.8.

There had been 75 cases in Ratoath where the incidence rate was 225.1 and 58 in Trim where the rate was 185.9.

Navan had 59 cases and a rate of 168.9, while Laytown Bettystown, was the only Meath area with a rate less than the national average.

The coastal municipal district had 40 cases and a rate of 117.2.

Of the cases notified nationally today;

169 are men / 197 are women

61 per cent are under 45 years of age

The median age is 38 years old

84 were in Dublin, 44 in Limerick, 34 in Cork, 34 in Donegal, 24 in Roscommon and the remaining 146 cases are spread across 20 other counties.
